Podcast Bloei goes international! In deze aflevering verwelkom ik mijn eerste internationale gast, namelijk Pavielle Bookman. Pavielle komt uit Jacksonville, een stad in Florida in de Verenigde Staten. In de ruige buurt waarin ze opgroeide was onderwijs niet voor iedereen vanzelfsprekend. Er was veel criminaliteit en armoede. Toch is ze blijven geloven in haar dromen en in het doel van haar leven dat God haar gegeven heeft. Na het afronden van haar opleiding rechten is ze begonnen als advocaat, een carrière waar ze gezien haar thuissituatie enorm trots op mag zijn. Dit was voor haar niet voldoende, ze wil meer betekenen voor de medemens. Ze werkt als vrijwilligster binnen haar gemeenschap, maar daarnaast wil ze andere helpen om te geloven in het doel wat God je gegeven heeft en daarin uit te stappen. Geloof in je dromen, ervaar geen angst. Waar God is, is geen falen. Wist je dat er zelfs 365 keer in de bijbel staat “weest niet bang”. In the rough neighborhood which she grew up, education was not self-evident for everyone. There was a lot of crime and poverty. But still, she continued to believe in her dreams and in the purpose of life that God has given her. After graduating law school, she started as a lawyer. A career that she can be extremely proud of given her home situation. This was not enough for her, she wants to have a bigger impact to her fellow man. She works as a volunteer within her community, but she also wants to help others to believe in the purpose that God has given and walk in faith. Believe in your dreams and don't experience fear.
